Last week I bought a new camera for a new hobby in retirement, photography. As well as a great and enjoyable past-time I can now take better photos for my blog site. This photo was taken at the Roma Street Parklands, Brisbane. The work that is being done to present the gardens is exceptional. We spoke to a couple of volunteers who in retirement are working in the Parklands, along with other volunteers and paid staff to ensure it always looks its best. I was reminded that retiree’s have an enormous contribution in the community and here was another example. Well done Roma Street Parklands volunteers. This is my favourite photo of the day in the Parklands. I am looking forward to experimenting more with my new Canon Camera. After a week of playing with my camera I am satisfied that for a ‘beginner’ I made the right choice. I also took a new photograph of my straw hat for my blog header. Now all I need to do is be in the right place, at the right time, to photograph the Wedgetail Eagle that loves to soar in the valley beyond the fence.
